WELCOME

Hailing from Lake Oswego, Oregon, Laila is a keen lover of nature and world travel. She captures her own experiences through colorful oil paintings that inhabit the intersection between the abstract and the modern. Locally, Laila is a member of Oregon Society of Artists and has displayed her art at venues such as Lake Oswego Festival of Arts, Art Council of Lake Oswego, and Beaverton City Hall. She has participated in juried shows across the USA and overseas including a prestigious exhibition at the Massachusetts State House. Laila exhibited her passion for art by teaching art literacy for fifteen years in Lake Oswego schools. She also contributed her cultural experiences by helping develop a curriculum for Islamic Art in the Lake Oswego School District.

 

Professionally, Laila worked in finance and served as president of the Islamic Society of Great Portland. This past year, she completed an accounting clerk certificate program and served as a notary public and is working towards Tax Preparer and CPA goals.
In her free time, Laila loves to cook and spend time with her family.
